Hello

I have worked in the health sector for 20 years in many roles. As a health worker I have always supported patients/clients to work on their health, fitness and nutrition as it has always been evident to me how important this is to support them with their mental wellbeing, chronic pain, illness and connection with their community.

In the past 8 years this has become a passion for me and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work in a clinic that also shares these views.

I started working in aged care 20 years ago and went on to complete my nursing whilst there. Even then I prioritised physiotherapy and group exercises with residents and could see the positive impact this made on them!

I went on to work in a youth residential rehab and worked as a dual diagnosis clinician. Whilst there I focused my supports on education, health and fitness and have many beautiful outcomes with the young people I have worked with. I am extremely proud of the supports I provided in this role.

9 years ago I made the change to working in the disability sector before NDIS started in Victoria I supported participants during the transition to NDIS and implemented many changes with staff whilst working in the day centre. Supporting the community and staff to transition to a new way of supporting participants to have choice and control to work towards their goals was a beautiful journey and helped to shape the type of support work I wanted to be part of.

I went on to work independently with participants in the community and their home and have some beautiful connections and outcomes from this experience. I have now made the decision to return to university to complete a degree to work in the allied health sector as I am so drawn to the work they do.

I am looking forward to having the opportunity to learn more from the amazing physiotherapists at neuro spark and assisting patients on their journey.
