Mel is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist and member of Speech Pathology Australia. Mel graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2011. Since graduation, Mel has worked in hospitals, community health and aged care settings as well as providing FIFO services to a remote community. 

 

Mel’s interest and qualifications include:-

- Voice Disorders— registered Lee Silverman Voice Therapy Practitioner, Resonant Voice Therapy practitioner and general voice rehabilitation

- Swallowing Disorder assessment, therapy and rehabilitation

- Communication disorder assessment, therapy, compensatory strategies and rehabilitation

- Cognitive Communication Disorders associated with Neurodegenerative processes or brain injury

 

Mel has worked in the Greater Shepparton area for over 10 years and has developed a wonderful network of other healthcare and service providers.

 

In her spare time, Mel likes to take her dogs to the local dog parks, take macro photos and mowing or weeding her garden.
